Meet Jeffrey:

A northern transplant and life long musician, Jeff moved to Atlanta in 2002 to attend the Larry B. Crabb School of Piano Technology. Attending full time (about 6 hours a day) Jeff graduated from the schools main course in just one year, completely rebuilding an early 1900’s Lester “upright grand” piano and learning to tune by ear. One of the fastest students to finish the course in the school's history, according to Larry B. Crabb himself. 

Jeff immediately began work in the field, contracting with some of Atlanta's largest piano dealers such as Southern Keyboards, England Piano, Cooper Music, Farr Music (South Carolina), and Piano Distributors of Georgia. Along the way Jeff gained even more knowledge in advanced tuning techniques, action regulation, voicing, and poly finish repair. In 2011 Jeff was sponsored by Yamaha and Piano Distributors of Georgia to attend an intense piano training course in California, covering advanced grand piano regulation techniques, and electronic player system diagnostics.

Jeff is currently the head technician at Piano Distributors of Georgia, a certified Yamaha Disklavier technician, and a 20 year veteran contractor in the field. Some career highlights include concert tuning for venues such as The Fox Theatre, Chastain Amphitheater, Georgia World Congress Center, Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center, Georgia Dome, Infinite Energy Center, Center Stage, Eddies Attic, Buckhead Theatre, Stankonia Studios, and EOA Studios… Tuning for artists such as Tony Bennett, Greg Allman, Shaka Khan, Aretha Franklin, Ciera, Michael W. Smith, Amy Grant, Marc Cohn, Joan Osborne, William King, Noah Gunderson, Tony DeSare, Benn Jordan, Bobby V, Roarke Bailey, Jimmy Webb, Seu Jorge and more......
